Upgrade Your Firefox's version..!


Buck up people..!
It has been around 1 month since the release of firefox's new version is released.Just upgrade your firefox to version 30 which is upgraded.
Mozilla's Firefox 30 is available to users on Android, Windows, Linux and Mac.

1)For Linux users, there is the GStreamer 1.0 (an open source multimedia framework) support with which files in various multimedia formats can be accessed through the browser. The formats supported by GStreamer 1.0 include H2.64 video, along with the AAC and MP3 audio formats.
2)‘Click to Play’ plugins
3)Tweaks to Australis theme
4)New developer APIs
5)Sidebar button to open social, bookmark & history sidebars
6)and various bug fixes…

For linux :
Following are the commands (run in termnal)to upgrade your browser's version:

sudo apt-get update
or update using software updater

Check the version of your firefox now by command :
firefox -v

Checking of version is important because sometimes with software updter,firefox version can be updated.If it is updated to version 30 or 31,it's good else run following commands :

Download the Firefox 30 source code according to the configuration of your system :

For 32-Bit Systems:
wget http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/30.0/linux-i686/en-US/firefox-30.0.tar.bz2

for 64 bit system :
wget http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/30.0/linux-x86_64/en-US/firefox-30.0.tar.bz2

Extract the downloaded archive file on your system using following command.
tar xvjf firefox-30.0.tar.bz2

Next command is :

ln -s /usr/local/firefox/firefox /usr/bin/firefox

Now check your firefox version :

firefox -v

Now start firefox using command line

firefox
